As you can see from my resume, I have a degree from the University
of Houston in Building and Construction and have been building custom homes in the
Spring-Klein area for thirty-two years. However, on this page I would like to tell you a
little about my philosophy of building. |
Personal attention
to details is very important in building custom homes. Supervising each job personally
enables me to always know what is going on with your home. I enjoy all aspects of home
building from searching for the lot to designing the house to
supervising the construction to choosing the decor. If you need
to call me at night, you'll have my home phone number. There will never be a problem of
trying to figure which person is responsible for what. It will always be me. |

I'm convinced that it is always
faster to slow down, take your time, and get it right the first go around. Getting in a hurry
leads to mistakes which then have to be corrected which, of course, slows the job down. The
turtle really does outrun the rabbit. |

On my first job working
as a construction superintendent, my boss commented to me that houses are a lot like children
in that each one is unique. With custom homes that's certainly true. Often people ask about
my standard package of appliances or my standard carpet allowance to which I reply, "I don't
have one because every job is different." Browse through the photos of
some of the homes that I have built, and you will see what I mean. One may be a farmhouse
on ten acres with water well and a septic system while the next may be a half million dollar
patio home in an upscale subdivision. To me this sort of variety is the spice of my life. |
